A young musician (piano, guitar), and self-regarded as a selector since his early teens, something of a love for dirty jazz music still crosses his sessions.

In the first weekend of April, the Global Funk crew (Arka, Jone & Makala) went to Bratislava & Vienna coinciding with the Makala’s “Swinging the Afro Mambo” Bench Tour, and we meet there the fantastic producer and dj, Herbert Bachhofer aka Shantisan. Together with Dj Kinski, we all celebrate the second anniversary of Musica DeLuxe (collective formed by Shantisan & Kinski) in Bratislava’s Nu Spirit Club and Viena’s Leopold Salon venues. This time we invite to Shantisan to come to play in our monthly Global Funk parties in San Sebastian at Le Bukowski Kluba and in Bilbao at Kafe Antzokia. For sure it will be a great parties and now to know much better what kind of music plays Herbert regularly on his dj sets, here we have a delightful special BSL radio show recorded and mixed by himself, full of “sonidos calientes” such as brazilian, cumbia, latin, salsa, boogaloo, rumba, … i mean hot tunes!!!
